Dear Customers,
Due to increasing pressures of real life, I'm taking Genius off the market. The codebase is old and antiquated and my school work doesn't leave me with enough time to properly maintain it. I hope to bring Independent Software back online in the coming months with a few new products. I will honor the refund of any purchases made in the past 30 days. Please email me if you have any concerns. I plan on releasing the source code to Genius under an Open Source license. I have been working on the various versions of Genius since around 1998, and it pains me deeply to have to leave behind both the program itself and the users and friends which have been with me for so long. I would like to thank you all for your input, suggestions, and patronage.

Update 2/24/03:
Many of you have sent emails asking where you can download Genius. You can download v3.2.2 here. There are many known bugs in Genius, and I'm sorry I didn't have time to fix them all. You can still use Weather Maps by adding custom maps with the URL of some of the various weather maps available online; I recommend weather.com. If any of you are Delphi programmers, you can download the source code to Genius here. It's released to the public under the GNU Public License, more information about which can be found at the GPL web page. I used many different third-party components, many of which were commercial, so I don't think a community-based branch of Genius is feasible. I don't recommend using code snippets or following my example, as Genius is not my best work.
Here's a general license for Genius, in case anyone wants to use it:
Name: Everyone
Email: all@world
Reg Code: C3BD-B035-BD67-2DD4-A5D7If anyone would like to email me with links to freeware, shareware, or commercial applications which duplicate some of the functionality of Genius, please do so and I'll post them here.
